About us
One district, every corner of the city.
City of Newcastle Scout District supports 1,300 active members aged 6–25 across Newcastle and surrounding areas. We provide fun, adventure and unique experiences that build confidence, teamwork, leadership and life skills, helping young people reach their potential and make a positive impact in their communities.
The district exists to back the Groups. We run the events no single Group could run alone, we train and support volunteers, and we make sure a young person who wants to join can find a place.
What the district does.
Supports Groups
Every Group in the city has a district contact, a route to funding and help when a section needs it.
Runs district events
Camps, hikes, competitions and county-wide adventures that bring the Groups together.
Backs volunteers
Training, appointments, permits and safeguarding, handled properly so leaders can lead.
