About Network

Scout Network is the final section of Scouting, for anyone aged 18 to 25. It works differently to the other sections: there's no fixed weekly programme handed to you. Network members decide what they want to do and then make it happen, with support from the District team. Activities are built around three themes — adventure, community and international. That might mean hiking, climbing, kayaking or a weekend away; volunteering and running projects that give something back to Newcastle; or travelling abroad to international camps and expeditions. Members can also work towards top awards including the King's Scout Award, the Explorer Belt and Duke of Edinburgh's Gold, and many volunteer alongside Squirrel, Beaver, Cub, Scout and Explorer sections in the District. You don't need any previous Scouting experience to join. Whether you've been in Scouts since you were six or you're completely new, Network is a straightforward way to meet people, try things you wouldn't otherwise get to do, and keep the adventure going into adulthood. City of Newcastle Scout Network is open to anyone in the 18–25 age range living, working or studying in the area. Get in touch to find out what's coming up.

Before you get in touch
